Ravenous-blu“Over-the-top energy, gore and style.” – LA Weekly Inspired by twisted tales of cannibalistic survival like the real-life Donner Party, cult terror feature RAVENOUS graphically depicts a twist on an old cliché: You are who you eat. Directed by the late Antonia Bird (Priest), this unnerving cult thriller stars Guy Pearce (Iron Man 3, Prometheus), Robert Carlyle (TV’s Once Upon A Time), Jeremy Davies (Lost, Saving Private Ryan), Jeffrey Jones (Deadwood, Sleepy Hollow), John Spencer (The West Wing), Stephen Spinella (MILK, Royal Pains), Neal McDonough (Captain America: The First Avenger, Band of Brothers) and David Arquette (Scream 4). The film has steadily and deservedly grown a large following over the last fifteen years. Beyond its darkly comic take on gruesome subject matter and some fantastic scenery and cinematography, RAVENOUS features a unique, quirky soundtrack by acclaimed composers Michael Nyman and Damon Albarn. The two contributed compositions separately, collectively serving up a musical stew combining 19th century American folk instruments, electronic sounds and orchestral flourishes; a romantic past filtered through an anxious present. On June 3, 2014, SCREAM FACTORY™ is proud to release RAVENOUS Blu-ray™ on home entertainment shelves in the U.S and Canada.  Available for the first time on Blu-ray, this highly collectible SCREAM FACTORY™ release features insightful bonus content and is priced to own with a suggested retail price of $24.97. Pre-order now at:http://www.shoutfactory.com/product/ravenoushttp://www.amazon.com/Ravenous-Blu-ray-Guy-Pearce/dp/B00I31COHA/ref=sr_1_2?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1398885026&sr=1-2&keywords=ravenous It's a recipe for nonstop action and excitement when the inhabitants of an isolated military outpost go up against a marauding band of cannibals in a deadly struggle for survival! Ever watchful of the enemies who might literally tear them apart, the uneasy alliance of soldiers must fight brutal elements of the Sierra Nevada wilderness – as well as their own murderous instincts to stay alive. Capt. Boyd (Guy Pearce), a disgraced veteran of the Mexican-American War, gets quietly shipped out to Fort Spencer, an isolated Sierra Nevada mountain outpost inhabited by a motley crew of soldiers half-mad with boredom. But then a frozen stranger named Colqhoun (Robert Carlyle) arrives spinning a terrifying tale of settlers trapped in a cave and forced to eat one another. Using the pretext of survivors needing help, Colqhoun leads many of the fort's men into a deadly ambush, but Boyd escapes, wounded and delirious. Will he and the remaining soldiers be safe from the madman's hunger? FOX 2000 presents An ADAM FIELDS/HEYDAY FILMS Production “RAVENOUS”GUY PEARCE,  ROBERT CARLYLE,  JEREMY DAVIES,  JEFFREY JONES,  JOHN SPENCER,  STEPHEN SPINELLA,NEAL McDONOUGH and DAVID ARQUETTEMusic Composed by MICHAEL NYMAN and DAMON ALBARNScore Conducted by MICHAEL NYMAN Film Editor NEIL FARRELL Production Designer BRYCE PERRINDirector of Photography ANTHONY B.
