Schlock-Wire: Check Out The Schlocktober Project, 2022 Edition

For the fourth year running, Schlockmania has embarked on what it calls the Schlocktober Project. Simply put, horror movies are watched then reviewed at Schlockmania's Letterboxd page each and every day of October (this is preceded by a warmup session on the last day of September so you actually get 32 days of horror reviews).

The reviews are flying fast and furious this year: as of October 12th, thirty reviews have been logged at Letterboxd. The films covered thus far include a couple of Hitchcock classics, the first three Hellraiser films, the Blind Dead quartet and much more.If you want to check out this celebration of the spookiest of genres, there are several ways to do so...

The first is to keep tabs on the Schlockmania Letterboxd page. If you want to go directly to the Schlocktober Project reviews, they're all collected at this link: https://letterboxd.com/schlockmania/tag/schlocktober-project-2022/reviews/

Links are also being posted each day at Schlockmania's social media pages: you can follow the project's progress on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The Instagram page might be the most fun way to do it as each post includes original poster art and the full text of each capsule review.

Schlockmania encourage you to dive in and start making viewing lists based on what you find. There's still plenty of time to fill your October days with celluloid horror so let the Schlocktober Project be your guide.
