AMG DIRTY DOZEN 06/28/19: Special Far East Edition With Blind Thieves, Category III Hijinx And More Shaw Brothers
June’s second and final installment of the AMG Dirty Dozen has a special Far East theme, highlighting not only Chinese and Japanese productions but also extending its reach as far as Indonesia and the Philippines. There are several Shaw Brothers films here, covering the gamut from an internationally acclaimed martial arts epic to a super-sleaze exploitation item about enslaved refugees. You also get one of the most infamous Category III psycho-shockers, a typically goofy Brucesploitation outing and a lovably daft Filipino action/thriller item about a bank heist perpetrated by blind thieves.
