Schlock-Wire: Shout! Factory Gives You A Jackie Chan Double-Kick With CRIME STORY/THE PROTECTOR On DVD And Blu-Ray
Martial arts film fans will be able to start the New Year with a double-helping of vintage Jackie Chan when Shout Factory releases a double feature set of Crime Story and The Protector in January. Both films feature Chan as a cop, with the former being an atypically gritty Hong Kong saga and the latter an American production that teamed him up with grindhouse action auteur James Glickenhaus. Fans of the latter will be happy to know that the blu-ray will also contain the alternate Hong Kong version of The Protector that was heavily re-shot by Chan, with added martial arts action.
