Here's some exciting news for fans of television adventure shows: the cult favorite Tales Of The Gold Monkey is making its U.S. DVD debut courtesy of Shout! Factory.  ABC put this short-lived but much-loved show into production to capitalizev on the success of Raiders Of The Lost Ark but it was no mere cash-in.  Creator Donald Bellisario actually dreamt the show up back in 1979 (2 years prior to Raiders), inspired by the classic film Only Angels Have Wings, and each week the show brought old-fashioned adventure back to the airwaves.  Shout!
