Schlock-Wire: STREET HAWK Roars Onto DVD, Thanks To Shout! Factory
Great news for 1980's schlock-t.v. enthusiasts: Street Hawk is about to receive a "complete series" package from the folks at Shout! Factory. For those who don't remember it, this one-season show was cut from the same cloth as Blue Thunder and Knight Rider. It starred erstwhile singer/heartthrob Rex Smith as an ex-cop who is chosen by the government to drive a high-tech, weapons-laden motorcycle to fight crime. If that's not 1980's enough for you, it's worth noting that Tangerine Dream did the show's soundtrack. This 4-disc set will feature all episodes and some nice extras to sweeten the deal.
