Schlock-Wire Update: SURVIVE! DVD Delayed Until November 1st

Loyal Schlockmania readers might have noticed an enticing news post a short back in August about a DVD release of Survive!, the infamous tragedy-sploitation classic about the Andes plane crash that also inspired the film Alive.  Manu fans got excited about this disc, as it will contain the U.S. edit of the film… but it’s October 11th release date arrived and passed without the disc making it to retailers.  Thankfully, Schlockmania received an email from VCI Entertainment PR director Christopher Rowe that reveals the title has been delayed until November 1st.

  1. Thanks for the update. I was wondering why my disc hadn’t shipped. I’m looking forward to revisiting this flick that I haven’t seen since it hit theatres back in ’76, as well as checking out the original Mexican version.

  2. Thanks for the update.
I have three versions of this film on disc but am really looking forward to VCI’s definitive edition so I can dump the others!

    (I’ll probably keep them….)
